But said old code is using an older version of Python, which does not support this. The compiler could issue a warning for newer version until the switchover, and therefore save us from this "special case".

Not sure I'm getting why we need a => for a default function argument instead of just reusing the = symbol...

There is a point in the video where the "protagonist" is served a drink in the Cafe. The scene cuts as he puts it on his lips but for a split second I recognised that weird dance once must do to sip with a VR headset on. I've

I'll even take retina implants happily. But not a full on helmet-contraption. Not in public anyway.

As an aside, the video gave me reasons why I'll never put on (any) VR headset in a public place like a coffeeshop or a park. It looks like I imagine it would feel: very awkward to be that person with a VR headset in the middle of a par

The museum is back in Israel where I'm originally from, but I live in the UK. Transporting this collection was not trivial and at the time it was easier to donate. I can only hope they made good use of them. At least I got some photos

Indeed. I'm currently leafing through a book about Atari 800 assembly language, and recently had a go at some 8bit generative art code on a C64 emulator (using magazine code from the 80s and such). There is something to be said about t

I've paid, and have already accessed support three times since with great success and good response times. I was quite surprised actually considering all the horror stories I'm reading here.

I've actually deployed on Gov PAAS, and as long as your stack conforms to the requirements it's quite a pleasant experience.

That's true about GSuite being crippled compared to Gmail, but I accepted that as the price to pay for having my main email use my own domain.

The site this links to, 8bitnews.io, is a wonderful resource to a lot of retro news and projects and they have a mailing list that does not suck.

Every time I open a recipe online these days, I sigh so loudly out of desperation of what I need to scroll through to get to the actual recipe. And that is before I do the cookie dance. I guess you guys heard my sighs!!! Amazing. Thanks!

Most projects I get involved in that can afford a k8s resource, implement k8s. It's a beautiful piece of technology and I think we'll only see more of it. So, yes. I think it's worth it.
