And they were not removed by Reagan. The roof had to be redone and they were simply not re-installed because they leaked so badly and weren't worth the time and expense.

There should be a switch in the cockpit that automatically locks all overhead bins if the pilots anticipate an evacuation. This information should be given to the passengers during the pre flight briefing.

As I told the anesthesiologist shortly before one of my many general anesthesia experiences: The only way I'm going to know whether I died in this room is when I wake up. There is no difference between anesthesia and death.

In the US the Carter administration stopped spent fuel recycling due to it's fears of nuclear proliferation. Didn't make sense to me at the time and still doesn't.

I worked in commercial nuclear operations for 23 years. It was a two unit site with unit one built first. It was designed as two identical units. By the time unit 2 was finished the regulations had changed so much that final reactor require

Many of the doctors at the VA I go to are retired then took the VA job. They see 8 to 10 patients a day and spend between 20 to 30 minutes with each. They work 8am to 4pm and go home. On the other hand surgeons and their support staff have

The first thing I do when fishing a new area is book a half day drift boat trip and mark all the spots they fished on my marine gps app. It's stupid easy (if not free) to find where charter fisherman fish.

I remember reading that 70% of the male bodies the coast guard recovers have their zipper down. I frequently fish offshore alone here in SE Florida and when I have to go I pee in an aft corner and wash it down with the raw water hose.

Twitter moves way faster than any council possibly could. By the time a council decides some content is bad the damage has been done and people have moved on. Unbanning all the extreme right accounts will blow up twitter.

In the US a nuclear reactor operator can work a 16 hour shift then get 8 hours off then return for an 8 hour shift. These hours exclude shift turnover time. This is crazy.

The average weight of a reasonably new semi is around 20k pounds without fuel which leaves 60k for cargo. Every pound the tesla weighs above 20k is a pound less cargo. Another consideration is the fact that tesla trucks won't be paying

In America the NRC issues a 40 year license to a reactor which then, after a review, can be extended. 40 years is the lifespan of the initial license not the plant.
