That explains Argentina. Seriously though, this study was published in 1989, so doesn't seem to be all that newsworthy?

If I were Epic, I wouldn't even pick up the phone tonight. Let Apple sweat, and soon enough it'll be before a Congressional panel. The app store certainly adds value by screening out abusive behaviors that can't be simply sa

I really enjoyed the first bit about his background. I don't see it as "victimhood" as much as showing where he came from - inspirational, even.

I'm ignorant on the topic, but I'm really surprised the US wouldn't share that "equivalent access" to GPS with the UK? Certainly seems like we'd be happy to sell such access to a close ally for less than the $6

The article posted the other day had benchmarks for the Apple chips vs some Intel chips, they seem to be much more competitive than I'd have ever guessed: https://stratechery.com/2020/apple-arm-and-intel/?hre

And for those who missed the announcement, plotly is now an open source library (it used to be a web service where you needed an API key and had to upload data to their servers, etc.) You still get all the "polish" (nice docs, co

In Amazon's case, there's actually a lot of shareholders that would like to see AWS spun off into a separate business.

Sure - I'm just venting. I found something trivial that makes a small difference, but the contribution process was overly cumbersome. To the parent poster's point, I feel if I could easily submit even a small subset of the trivia

Hopefully the licensing requirements can be made simple as well! I recently wanted to submit a 3 character change to golang that significantly speeds up strconv.ParseFloat(), but lost interest about 2-3 minutes into reading this: https:&#

Ah, the copy next to "Turn on Two Factor" sure sounded like SMS only, but sure enough, it gives you the option to use TOTP later on. Thanks!

Just signed up to try it out - would really like to see some form of two factor auth that isn't SMS based. TOTP and/or FIDO U2F.
