You can get around that by using a service like Uptime Robot to ping your site every hour and keep the dyno running. That way you have a free 24/7 app that doesn't go idle. I think Heroku is trying to get rid of that with these ch

HipChat integrations can be frustrating/lacking and I often find myself resorting to Zapier. The integration with JIRA is a joke and a huge pain to setup/manage for large workflows, which is especially surprising since HipChat and

I'm surprised they haven't implemented many of the features that RES has. I certainly don't use RES to it's full extent, but I find several of the features crucial to my Reddit experience.

Awesome idea. The next step would be allowing choice of departure time and arrival time and showing weather loosely based on that. The prediction might be less reliable but then at least I could put in that I was leaving for somewhere at 7p

I've noticed more desktop applications being built on HTML5, node-webkit, etc. Can anyone point me towards some good resources for getting started in this? I'm specifically interested in building a Windows application this way.

Not all of them are using Square. There a lots of merchant companies that offer card swipe phone adapters, including PayPal and Quicken.
