Not to sound snarky, but what’s the point of chatting if you could hang out face to face and have the same conversation in a ten minute timeframe while seeing their reactions?

Why not ask to meet some of them? You are interviewing them just as much as are interviewing you.

I'm pretty happy with Synology Photos on my NAS. It's got face detection, interprets the exif and gives you geo maps, has albums and sharing. Got it set up for my entire family.

I'm not sure I understand the concern. If they have shell access to your linode they already have access to everything - even if your db password were encrypted gitea can communicate with the db and so can any attacker coming from that

Never had an issue when using a single external monitor. That across Macbook Pros going back to 2013. Dual external monitors are a different beast. Here I get random issues depending on the external monitors ranging from: - random reorganis

That's a bold claim. Care to share how you aim to achieve that with similar data quality?

It's not a job though - you're not paid for it. Your employer can't prevent you from solving leetcode challenges either.

Honest question: What does that even mean? Web3 feels like a hodge podge of random ideas with some crypto-blockchain sprinkled on top.

Public transport hasn't solved the problem of "the last mile". How do I get to/from the train station/bus stop? Frequently you still need a car to even get there and then you will need parking - which is often limit

They are, but as a diver I will never touch them unless they look in proper shape and are the types wrapped in some other material. Some fishy dive centers will have the old style raw lead blocks..

As someone who had to travel to the bay area for years I'll add: Caltrain honking its way through all suburbs, even at night.

This. I love Linux, but I also just want to be productive in my job. Gone are the days where I can spend hours happily compiling my own kernel to optimize the hell out of bootup time and slim it down. There's no single ready to use dis

I switched to the Kinesis Advantage 2 about 9 months ago ( https://geekmonkey.org/learning-to-type-dvorak/ ) and couldn't be happier. It takes quite a while to rewire the brain (at least it did for me) but I feel a

I'm not sure how you get to that conclusion. Data privacy laws are among the strongest in the world here. It is a selling point because of that, but also because there are laws against sending user data to non-EU countries.

I personally love the clicky sound of the Advantage 2. I switched to it some time last year after having RSI related symptoms. Since the keyboard required me to retrain muscle memory I also ended up switching to Dvorak (wrote about it at h

Not sure if this is missing a /s, but brits regularly cross the channel to europe and vice versa and drive on the opposite side, there's even clever roadworks that swap lanes around the border.

To be fair that should count for both sides. Everything should be taken with a grain of salt. I, for one, have a hard time believing the 4k Russian casualties claimed by Ukraine.
