   Your somehow assuming cost of living is only high around FAANG. Bay area is full of non-FAANG companies that pay significantly less. Faang doesn't struggle to hire senior because they're the only places that affords to pay enough.

   This is definitely not true. I worked in the smartphone industry before and at the time Apple started making large phones. Rumor had it Apple stuck with small phones because Steve Jobs wanted them to stick with the same screen size to avoid

   Slightly off-topic but how are other manufacturers copying Apple by making large phones? Apple was the only one not making large phones for years.

   There's so much misinformation on it I find it hard to trust. I prefer to go with H1B salary databases.
