Your comment actually emphasizes why having a lidar is better. Cameras need neural networks to detect objects. Lidars on the other hand provide distance to all the surrounding objects. The neural networks processing the point cloud may not

Although that may be true, if the house is paid for by a loan, you have the additional insecurity that you need to pay $XXXX per month for the next 15-30 years. If something happens and you can't afford it anymore you risk foreclosure.
