I don't come here because of the UI, I come here because of the content. If it were my site, the UI would be a little more suited to the current year. If everyone loved it, there'd be no Hacker News mobile apps.

I am already using an iPhone, so those things do not typically enter my calculus for selecting apps. I don't like it, but the alternative is using Android, so it's the tradeoff I am making. I know that isn't a very good answe

The thing you are looking for can be achieved by buying something on the DietPi hardware compatibility list. https://dietpi.com/ I personally have had good luck with NanoPi boards from that list.

We run Dell Latitude, Precision, and sometimes XPS (though I hate those). Pretty much no issues. Dell would rather us run Ubuntu it seems, but it's close enough that RHEL tends to work fine.
