Yes 'Engine' is an all-encompassing concept, taken from the car where of course the engine is made up of many components. It drives the vehicle forward, but the drivers don't see it or know how it works. Until something goes

11gb isn't some bug fix, this is asset overhauls. Be it models, texture, audio etc. This is a result of Bethesda overworking employees and crunching like there's no tomorrow. The reason for the download being this size is because

I mean sure 'Stagnant' means that there was no growth, but it also implies that this is a bad thing, which in this case it obviously isn't. Clickbait title.

Agree. This whole race to mars is interesting to watch from afar, but it's ultimately just a big rock with 110% less going on that we gratefully have here.

No it's just an inevitable product of 'testing'. It's a simple way to enable and disable dependencies. There is literally no better way, apart from not having any dependencies in the first place of course.

Well you are going to need to deal with your dependencies eventually. Unless you are just end2end testing, and not doing any unit tests. In that case good luck finding your bugs when they appear. Or perhaps you write 'if (mode == "

It says escape, as in past tense, in the title, but is there confirmation of this? The article body seems to suggest they are still in the air?

What privacy intrusion are you worried about exactly? I'd be more worried about how accurate the actual results are and whether that inaccuracy is worth the money.

You just need to look at the packets in Fiddler as the page loads, find the request that gets the data you want, and then clone that request in your application. I just took a look at soundcloud and was able to get the data within a minute,

I find the Fiddler UI easy to use, plus you can add plugins such as converting the request straight to code. Up to you what tool you use of course.

Right but in that case that implies a view-model separation, so you can usually just access the data file directly, which is usually json.

I'm sorry but there is nothing new here? This seems like a backwards step if anything. Usually when web scraping, I can just load in the HtmlAgilityPack (c#), point it at a URL then write some functional code to extract the necessary d

Yeah and many other indies worked for 4+ years and got about 10 downloads on release, and you never hear of them.

Your missing the point I think. GAs aren't new, same as neural networks which were thought up half a century ago. It's the finding that GAs work at such a scale, with 100 of layers and millions of nodes and even outperform SGD, th

As someone who doesn't write python regularly, wasn't python supposed to be human readable for non coders? Or not need an IDE to be understood? Clearly very different messages being transmitted here.

Yeah traffic can still be bad in the UK, but ghetto wise the US have it worse because of their gun laws (and seen from the murder rate). Also student loans are paid for by the UK government, and you only have to pay it off after graduating,

For one, our healthcare is free. Though many companies still provide private healthcare as a benefit. Personally I agree with OP, I wouldn't want to live in the US either. Mainly because capitalism has been taken to an ugly extreme and

Apart from water and electronics don't mix. Think how easy it would be to sabotage an underwater data centre, you only need a single hole and let the ocean do the rest. Not to mention the maintenance nightmare of getting in and out of

I'm not sure why this is even news to be honest; I live in London and noticed zero glitch in the consistency of my Uber rides. I don't think anyone actually thought this would be a problem when 1) they fulfil a service that everyo

The amount of click bait in this title is outstanding. Oh and I have to accept some privacy agreement to even read the article? How does this horse shit even get to the front page.

Well this is nothing short of incredible. I wonder if they'll get it to a point where it can look at 3d drawing, and immediately be able to produce a 3d model which includes all the occluded parts.

What's even more confusing is that v3 -> v4 includes a bunch of breaking changes, and yet they didn't update their typescript definition file. Not to mention the web is full of v3 examples that mysteriously don't work with

There hasn't really been any big changes in 3d modelling software for decades now (the video in the link shows tools available in blender, zbrush, sculptris etc). The only thing left to fight over is the user interface; the more stream

Yeah I just tried to pay with contactless at the Tesco self checkout, it failed and the security guard told me to enter my PIN instead. That worked, though I just checked my balance and see I've been charged twice for my shopping. Fumi
