The issue comes down to the legal and moral definition of consent. How old must a child be until they are wholly fit to make their own decisions? How do you define public policy around this, written to incorporate the whole of the public an

"Once a startup, always a startup" is the rule of the day these days. Makes me wonder how long HP would be considered a startup if they were born today.

IANAL, but in general a business in the US can deny service to anyone as long as they are not in violation of very specific civil rights protections.

Looking at it more, it seems pretty easy, but perhaps consider that your audience might only have a cursory knowledge of their Graphite implementation. Maybe point to a couple of the important fields in dashboards.js, like graphite_url an

Looks great! We've been having a rough time keeping our homegrown dashboard stable. My only suggestion so far is to build out the configuration/installation docs in the README.md, 'see dashboard.js' isn't very helpful.

At the risk of offending the rah-rah YC back-patting... the entire Tech section is full of people who run or founded companies. Those all could fall into the Media, Social, or Marketing sections. It just seems like they're piling all the bi

It's pretty amazing how few California, or even Bay Area, natives there are working in tech in that same area. People have always flocked here for jobs and money, but the scale is just so much larger this boom. It's pretty shocking when you

It's not a temporary thing, and in fact had been going on for a few years now. We are currently in the phase of blatant link bait self posted blogs gaming the front page. Prior to this tend for the past year or so, there was the "rah-rah lo

Has this post been moderated away? I'm not seeing it anywhere, even 5+ pages deep. If so... is that really necessary; is someone threatened or offended? This is a real article with just as valuable a point as all the self-posted 300-word bl

Let's be honest here, speed isn't as fast as WiFi all the time. It's as fast as WiFi, with much higher latency, in the times you're within good range of the proper cell tower. Sorry, but its not the same as WiFi when you're sitting on the c
