I've been doing a lot of this lately. I got the cheapest Macbook Air and SSH into my machine at the office. Tmux attach and go! Lag is never an issue for me. I could get used to this.

+1 for Jumpstart. I really like it is kept up to date. It also has a forum which is relatively active. Other do not have this. I considered this too: https://www.getsjabloon.com/ .

A Dyson cloud is a similar mega structure but not a continuous surface. I think it is more commonly referred to as a Dyson swarm. Isaac Arthur [0] had an episode about it in which he mentioned such a structure to be quite feasible with mode

The state management is THE headache of Flutter IMO. There are many options now and I expect Google is following this development closely. Sooner or later they'll either endorse a solution or come up with something better.

Think of it this way; there is less information in a blurred image (less colour, less lines, less areas). You can not* conjure information out of thin air thus making the unblurred image. * Recent advances in AI actually make this possible

Going to Mars won't save us from a gamma ray burst either. Not sure what you mean by red dwarf but I take it that you mean an event on the scale of a gamma ray burst. Mars ain't good enough for that. I'd be curious to hear ab

I think Zigbee is in the uptick. Philips Hue works with it. Ikea is aggressively pushing products. There is (was? website recently went down, perhaps it has something to do with this announcement) DotDot ( https://en.wikipedia.org

You did pick a (very) pre 1.0 language to play with. Constant change is to be expected. I wonder (and hope!) V lives up to the hype. It's a lot.

I'm surprised to read no one seems to know what to do about this. There's a simple thing you can do and that is buying organic produce. Sure, it still uses some pesticides but not all and a lot less (at least in Europe, not sure

This doesn't appear to be only a research project, there are two implementations already. One in Go ( https://www.discocrypto.com/ ) and one in C ( https://github.com/mimoo/disco-c ).
