I don’t get it. He uses Everest and the South Pole as proof that Mars can’t support human life. But there’s a base at the South Pole and people climb Everest I think these are substantial engineering issues, but I think he must be kidding.

A wise philosopher once said this. You know your experience is real. But you do not know if the material world you see is the result of a great delusion by a master programmer. Thus the only thing you truly know has no mass at all. Thus a w

That was really cool. He didn’t vilify anyone or seem angry. But he said his point. Hard to do that.

This is the problem with the human brain. When there are not enough real problems, it invents fake ones! “You didn’t shave!” What a stupid problem society invented. And the true cost isn’t the money, so much as collective man hours wasted.

But Russia and Germany are not at war. Honestly if Ukraine and Russia had stronger trade-who know what would have happened?

I wonder if the CHIPS act was a bad idea strategically. Theoretically the more intertwined our economies, the less likely war is, as we all have more to lose. By isolating china, they reduce the perceived dependence they have, as their indu

Hah that’s rich! You can’t steal IP. IP is nothing more than imperialism. It will go down in history as one of the great stupidities the rich use to control the poor. I honor copyright. But not because it’s right. Simply because I can use i

I would get this because honestly - I like working in Linux but have continued to use OS X simply because M1 has been untouchable with regards to battery life. This changes things and makes Linux a more viable option at a lower price than A

I like the options api but what I like about the setup api is that you don’t have to import components then specify them in components property. Makes it a lot easier when doing go to source, and you can just import them automaticallly with

I always say that psychiatrists of today are the equivalent of doctors in the 1500s. They can give you basic advice, but because we don’t yet have a scientific understanding of consciousness, we can’t effectively treat problems therein. Th

ADHD can actually be caused by school. Teachers knowingly teach crap and the brain says “not worth my time”. It’s a defense mechanism to the industrial machine.

All right man let me tell u something. When I was playing GT 7 (racing) on a simulator, I used to either go hard gas, or hard break. It’s like a baby. Either they hold something with 100% strength or not at all. As you grow older, or better

This is utterly, utterly horrifying. Every time you start innovating, problems will happen. But you can’t quit. What they did was legendary and right. They just need to tweak the formula a little bit, not go back to the broken, heartless cr

I don’t understand why you would migrate anything to Wordpress. Wordpress, to me, seems like the platform you start on. Easy to get up and running. But when you get a mature product, you need something with better performance. I hate to say

I always consult MDN regex whenever I need some help. Most of it is pretty simple: [a-z] - a range of characters .* - any number of characters or none .+ one or more character. ^ - start of sequence $ - end of sequence But what I can’t seem

People think they’re so cool for spying. Then you get older and realize… we should all be friends. There’s just no point in fighting. There should be no us vs them. Hopefully this can be figured out by our leaders soon!
