Clearly mocking DB is a footgun and it's not that hard to setup e2e test. Use TestContainer or Docker on a random port, run your API on a random port. Every tests seeds all the data needed to run (user, org, token), it requires an init

Is the public repo the main branch? When you want develop something: you create a PR in the public repo, review, wait for CI, merge to main, wait for CI, finally merge to the fork, wait for CI? I'm always unsatisfied with the number of

I feel like most people say plugin which is fair and easy to do on the backend but I'm always wondering how they are doing for the frontend. I never found an appropriate solution to modify the frontend (i.e: adding a billing page, a bu

I love postgres but I really hate that there is no builtin way to batch update or delete. This is the most annoying things and I need to (re)write a batcher almost every month every time I'm hitting a wall

Last batch had 27,000 applications [1]. I think it's just a moment where VCs have a lot of money to spend after 1-2years of recession, and a whole new market has open with AI (or to say it better, every markets are now open to AI disru

We also had a similar setup at Algolia, renovate push to one branch (`baseBranch` properties) and you only review once a week or month. Created a GitHub actions to create the base branch with a cron: https://github.com/bodin

CPU Budget (and page budget) is dependent on website popularity. You can see it clearly when you start a new website, google will index 10 pages at most, and as your website grow in popularity it allows 100->1000->10K etc...
