SourceTree with simple but featureful interface and I just can't like alternatives. It's not performant but I can live with it. It has Windows support though. SequelPro. Man, is this good for handling databases. I used DataGrip fo

It's not the OS that attracts the users, it's the apps. I don't care what OS I use as long as it has enough quality tools but right now none of the two beats macOS for productivity as a web developer.

Interesting they continue to develop btrfs when RedHat severed its tie which sounded like the end of the deal for btrfs when no one but suse uses it as the default file system. But even looking how it never gained mainstream adoption for ov

If you want to be good, you need to know both anyways. Being a specialist on one side is for people who are still on their way to go deeper to multiple parts of the stack or those who feel good just by knowing 1 thing sufficiently.

Why would someone drop CSS as their skill when they know other frontend bits? Designers don't need to know HTML/CSS when frontends can just build it up from images. It's a weird place to draw a line that designers need to pas

What stops a package developer to become a maintainer as well (even under another name to keep the blame to that identity only)? It just tends to work better in managed repos but the problem can still easily be poked.

MS only limits the possibility of developers by having confusing "editions" again on VS. No idea what the point of splitting the user base to slow down the adoption and the growth of global knowledge base.

You need to realize health checking doesn't need to be cool. It's a good solution to check the statistics by human eyes but there are simpler and more effective solutions for health checking.

Readable JS doesn't mean, convert back to the file in the format you used to for editing. That comment could make people throw away the original and end up with machine generated code when going back.
