There’s now also moral hazard too with the rise of indexing and retirement. They need to keep the WHOLE stock market up. Many fewer investors now do any research and chose companies based on fundamentals. The companies that exist today m

I have a “prime month” every now and again, just joining then quitting at month end. I subscribe because I want quick shipping on an item then end up ordering a few other things. Full year prime doesn’t make sense unless you’re ordering e

Yep interesting times. Valuation models at these levels depend on EPS growth where buybacks reduce number of shares = more earnings per share. The side effect is a ballooning balance sheet. Can that go on indefinitely? Are upper manageme

Check out their balance sheet. It’s already at zero! They already have been spending so much on buybacks (9B a year, ~eq to net income) that there isn’t any equity left in the company since their liabilities have exploded. On a side note c

There is complacency among the exchanges though. You really believe all that volume and price action is legitimate? Exchanges want tether to be worth what they say it’s worth, 1 USD. The alternative is a massive crash in tether and there

Ive only seen off brand companies test this out. Samsung seems to be jumping headfirst into the bendable tech skipping dual screen.

Not sure if I’m in the minority but I would prefer two separated clamshell screens to one bendy screen. At least until the bendable tech is 100%. Two separate screens would still allow great multitasking when necessary. When not used perh

Of course not. I’m willing to bet it’s an issue with the parents actions over the course of a decade unless the child has severe mental disabilities. It’s impossible to believe an otherwise healthy 14 year old child would die by refusing

I’ve been browsing around satellite view of Chinese cities for a while now. There are hundreds of thousands of high rise apartment complexes without visible activity around them. Literally copy paste buildings surrounded by empty fields.

Exactly! Microsoft is exploiting the “cloud” buzzword when including Office 365. I’m sure old baby boomer investors/advisors/managers couldn’t tell the difference. They want to be in the “growing cloud space”. Office 365 is ju
