Yes, I do understand the issue with the aspect ratio, which is indeed good design, but parent comment's example is that "you can run two apps side by side" is the tautology. Well, at least since the invention of double-entry

this isn't great design, it's tautology. of course the phone open is twice the size of it closed. it would be hard to make it otherwise.

in the keynote they explicitly said it was a polymer. Apple materials technology is really good, but it's not "folding glass" good.

oh he understood what plate tectonics was proposing very well, he just completely rejected it in favour of many distributed prehistoric oceans and a lot (a LOT) of erosion. It was weirdly congruent to phantom time theory.

The Pixel 9 Pro Fold had a lot of warranty replacements due to a failing internal cable. The 10 seems to have resolved the issue, but time will tell. Other than that, the Pixel Fold has been a great phone. It's like having a tiny table

Canada has always accepted immigrants. Rapidly increasing the number of foreign students to goose the slumping post-secondary education sector did not work out great. Even with the reductions, there are always immigrants coming into Canada.

Japan is already accepting immigrants! It's right there in the article I linked! It's just a question of raising the quota slightly. It's hardly going to solve every problem, it will keep restaurants from closing.
