It is certainly profitable for a type 1 civilization to move to a type 2 civilization as long as energy consumption and population continue to naturally grow as has happened so far here. Same thing for type 2 to 3. Also, I think that decisi

I think that smaller (portable) versions are currently almost impossible to make. Square-cube law is a big factor here, and there would be a ton of inaccuracy. Maybe if it was done very well. Coil guns are more feasible and can probably be

The only practical way of making something like this work would be to collect all the photos taken ~2 hours before the bombs went off near the finish line. You could do this by searching Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram for geotags and keyw

This article really isn't that good or that interesting. I understand people who hold bitcoins upvote anything that says something positive about the currency, but come on, not this.

As a student, I agree, but it's not this simple. My parents still expect me to get a job, and I need something to do other than just sit in my room all day on my computer. It's nice to have people to talk to, and I don't have any friends wh

I realize some are, but there lack of pickup by pretty much everyone else is concerning. It makes bitcoin basically useless at this point. Maybe it will pick up, but it hasn't been happening.

What, exactly, is "happening"? I'm all for bitcoin, and I think it would be kind of a cool form of currency. Bitcoin is more elegant than standard currency, but many of the interactions that happen with standard currency are not possible wi

Ok, that's a good answer that makes sense for more expensive places. But say, when someone wants to order a couple pizzas, they still call the pizza place rather than use these services. The answer might go along with yours - maybe ordering

Rising price doesn't mean confidence in the currency. If that were the case growth would be exponential (it's not). It should exclusively be the other way around.
