I'm wondering if https://www.lob.com/ has an equivalent in Germany or Europe in general. (yes I've seen the international shipping, but domestic for us is probably faster and cheaper)

Why does this need to be the case? I guess for most people it is more like "there's so many movies about this stuff and famous people take it, it MUST be good, I need to try".

I've ordered a Q10 some days ago and hope I won't regret it. BB10 has an Android compatibility layer, so that might bring over some apps that might be still lacking.

My situation is actually even easier: I did not have 8th grade civics class as I'm German and live in Germany. While the government/police (to keep in power) wants us to believe that there are terrorists, I actually feel very safe

I fully agree. But you're saying that while commenting the situation from a distance. If it actually happened to you you might react differently. (If there is a number of guys with guns at my front door I'd probably have to let th

Make yourself more suspicious by not letting them in? EDIT: Has the point been reached where people are more afraid of being mis-targeted (e.g. my Chinese gf has a pressure cooker for rice) than being an actual "terrorist" attack

Everytime I read things like this, I'm wondering why the US still has no strong Pirate Party. (Yes, I know, Winner-takes-it-all-2-party-system..) Are you guys not getting fed up at some point? Land of the free, please be it again.

The German Pirate party wants a similar model. Inhabitants of a city have to pay a yearly fee and then can ride for free. This should encourage people to leave their car at home (or not even buy one) and take public transport instead. Anoth

We have the same development in Germany. Having a car is not that much of a status symbol anymore as it used to be, being ecological is "in" and saves a ton of money if you have good public transport or like biking. I'm 29 and never owned a
