Using Google fonts is a violation now. It's a nightmare for web developers.

I hadn't heard that in the context of bicycle helmets, but it's definitely true for football helmets and protective gear.

Fair enough, maybe I should have said "X has done this several[1][2] times with shut down projects and I think that's pretty cool because they had no obligation to do so." [1] - https://x.company/blog/pos

X has been really good about open sourcing all of the technical information from shut down projects. They did the same for the Makani power-generating kites. Love to see stuff like this

How long have you been abroad? I wonder what time horizon they consider for "primarily in the US". Seems like it's >> 30 days.

Wow, YouTube as well apparently. I wonder if this will be a watershed moment in the balkanization of the internet, or if this access will be restored at some point in the future.

Not just where the CDN is, but apparently where the company operating the CDN is incorporated. In the eyes of the EU, it doesn't matter if you serve out of an EU data center if the overall corporate entity is still subject to the laws

The differentiator seems to be the "ads within the mailbox". It looks like a leading question of sorts designed to make the user more accepting of ads being injected into and intermixed with their list of emails.

Neat, but I think the keyboard coloring could use tweaking. It wasn't immediately obvious to me which were unguessed letters and which were guessed but unmatched.

This (designing processes for rare edge cases) is endemic not only in people processes, but in technology-enabled business processes. I've had numerous clients fall into the trap of trying to over-engineer their process flow with valid
