But it didn't apply to search engines generally, just Google specifically.

This is pretty common for med school applications at my undergrad. They would not support your application with a committee letter if they felt you didn't stand a good chance of being accepted. Makes the acceptance rate double the nati

Google Cloud actually has pretty good and reachable support including by phone in case you have login issues.

Absolutely embarrassing. Are we seriously at a point now where we can't have a George Washington or Abraham Lincoln High School? What's next? Renaming our nation's Capital?

AWS launched compute and storage in 2006 and took until 2015 to first be profitable. Google launched cloud compute in 2013 and arguably didn't take it seriously until the last few years. Growing nearly 50% is a great result, even if th

I don't want to avoid ads entirely - I still want to support creators and the success of the platform. It just seems as if the length, number, and frequency of ads has been ratcheted up to 200% lately.

I have no problem with some ads. I have a problem with midroll ads every 5 minutes and ads >> 2 minutes long when I've stepped away from my device and can't skip.

At this stage of cloud, all that's really important is revenue growth. GCP is only a quarter of the size of Azure and AWS - they need to gain market share regardless of how much investment it requires in the short term.

I fear this will only encourage the frankly absurd number of ads that have been on Youtube videos lately.

I think it's silly for you to put those words into my mouth. First of all, Stadia streams from Edge nodes - it's not about living next to data centers. I'm just giving another data point. There are numerous places for latency

The Moonlander default layout has a layer that emulates mouse controls. It's not great for long sequences but can help with some small tasks where you prefer not to lift your hands from your keyboard. For those of you with one at home:

What's driving the recent popularity explosion of SPACs? They've been around since at least the early 2000s, but total capital participating has risen nearly tenfold since 2014.
