He's not blaming two babies, he simply stated that unforeseen events caused the company's healthcare costs to go up unexpectedly.

To everyone who's saying "they make X billions in profit each year and can't afford Y million!", that's not the point. It'd be irresponsible of him to simply eat the extra costs. Hopefully, people wake up and r

These guys have been working at this for almost a decade (maybe longer), and they finally got Office 2003 to work... year of the linux desktop cometh! Guys, let's be honest here, even the "disastrous" Windows 8 in all of it&#

I think you're not seeing a swing because the devices are too expensive. However, as more of my friends buy new machines, I'm seeing more and more of them buy computers that have a "tablet mode" and digitizer.

How does Windows 8 kill PC gaming exactly? Games run just the same as they do on any other version of Windows.

If you think MS is going to back down on touch, you're dead wrong. Moving forward, what the author refers to as "Metro" (actually known as the "Modern Interface") will be the default interface users interact with on

I remember Keepod a few years ago, back then they were trying to market these same devices to developers and security enthusiasts. I always thought that Keepod was more compelling for emerging markets. Glad to see them pivot.

This video of his seems to give more of a demonstration of his alternative paradigm: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=En_2T7KH6RA It's really interesting to see, but in order for any of his idea to actually work you need

The real issue here is battery life. Only 6 hours? The new X1 carbon from Lenovo can get 9, the T440s can get up to 17 (with extended battery), and the MBA can get 12 right out of the box.

I agree, but only if there were good/reputable/affordable technical institutions for anyone who couldn't get into a top tier college.

The issue then would obviously become sustainability. You'd have to institute strict entrance exams similar to what Germany and many other European countries do.

How about OneNote? They have a desktop version, tablet version, online versions, and clients for iOS/Android/WP8 as well. http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/onenote/

You're correct in that how hard someone works doesn't result in how much they earn. However, I got into the industry I'm in through hard work. Going back to my main point, people don't want to see that - they just want t

Spot on. Not trying to be cliche, but big government is what's causing these problems. If they would allow high rises to be built, we wouldn't be seeing these issues.

Everyone sees the success, but no one sees what it took to get there. They don't see the intense, competitive interviews tech workers go through. They don't see the grueling comp sci/engineering coursework they do leading up

I wish more people would share ideas like this. Rose said he isn't building this as a product any time soon, rather that he had a new idea about what a blog is/could be and just shared that idea with the world. In doing so, he
