That's if you want to pin transitive dependencies, which is the de facto standard in JS world but not always true in Python world, depending on your context.

That's a 72MB download, and yet another way to fragment the ecosystem. Not something I'd get just to make a package when a default Python setup has recommended tools and everything I need to make and/or install packages.

I do have locking issues with some sqlite files. I guess it has to do with the fact that the filesystems are shared. I wish I had time to investigate more.

Indeed. But way to go... third party dependencies wont support Python < 3.6 forever. And it's still very useful for the application code alone.

There's a free edition for small business and personal use and a perpetual "enterprise" license for $1,895. Not so bad for a commercial product. But yes, no free software.
