Thanks! I'll check this out. This looks nicer than some alternatives I've explored in the past.

One thing I wish were easy to configure on FreeBSD and Linux that makes macOS feel more "Unixy"[1] is using Cmd+ for most application shortcuts and reserving Ctrl+ for Bash-style shortcuts throughout most textfields. [1] Yes I rea

I'm in Metro Atlanta. Near me we have: Walmart, Target (our local Target has full grocery), 3 wholesale clubs [Costco, BJs, Sams Club], Aldi, Ingles, 2 local chains (largest is Food Depot which is all over the region), Piggly Wiggly, K

When I was in school there was a lot of fear about not using Microsoft in public schools (Windows, Office, etc.) because of not preparing students for office jobs. Nowadays most schools use Chromebooks or iPads. And plenty of jobs use Googl

As someone who is often doing outdoor activities and sports in a very hot, humid area I can't find a good alternative to plastics for clothing. But they last a long time. I have a lot of synthetic workout clothing well over a decade ol

Reminds me of over a decade ago I was in a high school AP course. At the start of the course, the teacher recommended we get a AP prep book to study throughout the year, and recommended 2 brands. She specifically said not to get one brand,

We were evaluating CircleCI at work (wanting to move on from Jenkins) and ended up going with GitHub Actions near launch as it was a similar enough project but without needing another vendor involved. We have had some kinks but GHA works we

There are some fairly recent versions of Gecko that have been backported to Windows 95. I played around with RetroZilla a few years ago on Windows 95 and was able to get many modern sites to work. The K-Meleon project has even more recent w

Burma/Myanmar unfortunately has more scrutiny because it's a current political issue. Some see the new name as associated with the current military government. The US officially calls the country Burma (e.g., CIA World Factbook:

Last time I got a new laptop, I simply ordered a Lenovo Thinkpad (X1 Carbon, not Extreme) with Linux pre-installed. I am past where I want to tinker to get the hardware and software working together, but do prefer Linux as my daily driver.

I was in Henry County, GA, which has a lot of poor areas (including where I was living) with no MARTA in place. It's been over a decade since I lived there, but I'm not sure what's in place now.

I lived in an apartment in suburban Atlanta that was 4 stories in a county with no public transit whatsoever. Plenty of places in the U.S. have little or no public transit in the US but also have the density to support apartment buildings.

Many gas stations are still magnetic strip only. It was the majority as of a couple of years ago, but it's shifting quickly. That said, I still very frequently encounter gas stations that don't accept chip or tap, only strip.

In my area most restaurants with table service don't have an easy way to do tap-to-pay (a few chains have something at the table for you to pay at that supports it). Also two of my most common retailers do not (Kroger and Home Depot).

Apple's Safari also uses a distinct rendering engine, Webkit. Chrome is based on Blink which was forked from Webkit and the two are quite different now, including in terms of supported features.
