We've got a more complex application (Pathwright) running Django, and we're currently going much more heavy client side. Nothing about Django keeps you from doing this, and there are some excellent third party apps that actually m

Due to the degree that each of the major mobile players "cross-pollinates" or "copies" these days, why are we even still talking about who is copying who? Who cares? Looking at these new iOS demos, I see a lot of things

For any who have already been set up on this service (assuming anyone has), what are you doing with your Pi and how have you found the connectivity to be? I know you can't expect much for "free", but I am definitely curious.

Do you expect them to stop innovating just to avoid stepping on someone else? This development actually makes a lot of sense for Hangouts, and I'm glad they did it. There is still room for others, especially in the spheres where using

If you're using Python and/or Django already and don't need to mix with other languages, Celery is pretty easy to work with, has excellent documentation, and is well-maintained. With that said, while there is no boundary to p

No knock to any contributors on here, but I'm not seeing why RQ is better. Documentation looks incomplete, seems to depend on Redis, the boilerplate doesn't appear to be any less complicated. Is there something I'm missing th

Yeah. I like and use Chrome, but Firefox is back to being pretty good as well. If Google were to do something so drastic as yanking H.264 support from Chrome, I would probably re-evaluate my choice. But that's the great thing here: Thi

Was going to reply to arkitaip, but you nailed it on the head. I have really enjoyed working with Go, but the much more limited ecosystem does mean rolling up your sleeves and doing it yourself more often. So I agree, I don't think you

I guess I haven't ran into this. I've been able to re-use some of my components through different incarnations of this desktop, and it's saved me a ton of money. For example, I don't need to upgrade my entire desktop to

It's OK if you didn't want to, but you can build something cheaper and even more quiet than this new Mac Pro yourself. There are some excellent cases and cooling systems, and you can choose your components with your needs in mind.

Unless I'm misunderstanding something, you could already blow this thing away at its price point by building your own. It wouldn't be as pretty looking, but you could do better (if specs are the primary concern).

It's not really about "forgetting". In many cases, a simple desktop app won't cut it. Unless it also has a mobile app that syncs what I've read with the desktop app, it's sub-par to Google Reader for me personally. This is actually the most
