Not sure why exactly but I've kept wondering if this was a Snape Dumbledore situation

The firing was definitely handled poorly and the communications around it were a failure, but it seems like the organizational structure was doing what it was designed to do. Is this the end of non-profit/profit-capped AI development?

I also noticed they didn't speak much to the mission/charter. I wonder if the new entity under Sam and Greg contains any remnants of the OpenAI charter, like profit-capping? I can't imagine something like "Our primary fi

This is cool but named pretty poorly. It doesn't seem to have anything to do with LLM's - TinyAIs would've been perfect.

The PaLM api has also been similarly disappointing, I can't even get some of the example prompts in MakerSuite to return anything but empty responses.

I used to, now I consider myself a 'builder' - the difference being that I care that people use the stuff I make, whereas before not so much.

The GOOD refactor would only work if the condition didn't depend on `walrus` and helps to make that fact explicit. If you apply "push fors down" again you end up with: if condition { frobnicate_batch(walruses) } els

How does MonoGame compare to Stride nowadays? Does anyone have experience with both?

I've done variations of this, including using an e-ink monitor outdoors. Type driven design works well with pen and paper. Sketch out the types, sketch out the function signatures. It's great for bringing some non-intrusive work w

It seems like bit of a 'vase or face' situation - are they being responsible corporate citizens asking for regulation to keep their (potentially harmful) industry in check or are they building insurmountable regulatory moats to ce

Pages aren't optimized for conveying information, they're optimized for CTA interaction rates. I don't think a business fundamentally cares about how well a customer understands the product as long as they buy it.

You don't even need to run something untrusted, just compromised console output is enough (from server logs, for example they mention python -m http.server)

How exactly does this work? I guess it's not just showing embedded players for video. Is it scraping comments?

I like the integrated telemetry and caching. It looks like the prompt formatter adds text to the system instruction - have you tried using function calling to get json responses? Does the retry mechanism validate against the zod schema?

This looks cool! Some feedback: the marketplace page seems pretty busted, none of the filter checkboxes work and the back pagination button doesn't seem to work either.

This is cool - it looks like there are a few languages developed targeting game development, like Odin and Jai. Are there others in this space? Really curious how these compare. It doesn't look like Nature has ADT's, is that true

I have a toy language I play around with that's just in specifications stage. Not mine but an interesting compile-to-c language: https://github.com/koka-lang/koka . Functional, effects, no-GC.

You won't get it built in but there are plenty of biased sampling projects out there that can enforce responses as JSON. It's actually going to be more reliable with a local model since you can mess with logits before sampling. [1
