Actually, their recent acquirer is now raising at a $10B valuation from Founder's Fund. They had plenty of value left even after getting gutted.

I've tried to ask dozens of companies that wanted to hire me just for how many shares were outstanding and/or authorized. They almost always refused to share. You can almost never get any info on equity until it's too late an

I tell every engineer always to maximize their cash comp and every founder and investor always says "No, that's such a bad idea! Get more equity!" Yeah, because that is in your interests, not the engineer's.

Am I the only one who finds AI not very helpful? Just this morning, Cursor was giving me a ton of incorrect tab completions. When I use prompts, it tends to break more than it fixes. It's still a lot faster to write by hand. Lots of li

It's something you should never assume is true until the wire hits your account. I had a deal where I was going to make $15 million called off 36 hours before closing.

That's what my friends not from SF said. "This is insane, this would never happen" Dude, I saw a lot crazier things happen on a monthly basis. And don't even get me started on the personal lives and partying that the sho

I built a company that actually did implement HATEOS in our API. It was a nightmare. So much processing time was spent on every request setting up all the URLs and actions that could be taken. And no one used it for anything anyways. Our cl

Exactly what I think will happen. I think it's already inevitable. The IDF has total air superiority. The regime has very little capabilities left at all.

WOAH. MAC address spoofing is some old school stuff. I got in trouble for it in college. I didn't realize you could spoof MAC addresses on....well....a Mac but it's not something I'd do lightly.

They probably aren't wanting for cash so I wonder why they did this. Maybe a lot of it was secondary sales?

Agreed. There's no way Cursor can stay ahead when they really don't have much of a moat. Don't get me wrong, I love Cursor but is seems Microsoft could just rip it all off and put it in base VS Code.

Be careful about Atmos. Most Atmos discs (I refuse to stream it) are a 5.1 TrueHD main setup with atoms layered in. So it's still 5.1 or 7.1 with some atmos effects. That being said, I have a 7.1.4 Atmost setup and it is on the level o

I mean, I am an audio/videophile with a proper 7.1.4 Atmos setup at home. I cannot even watch streaming tv or movies on it as it sounds so bad. But I put in a 4K UHD disc and wow. It sounds better than a real movie theater. I just thin

I have an 7.1.4 Atmos system with a Sony ES receiver. I can definitively tell you that sound bars to not come anywhere close to the quality of what I have, and at a decent price too (the entire audio setup cost less than my OLED tv). I thin
