I don’t think this is a great article. MCP is inherently designed so integrating something like oAUTH is going to be very difficult. What callback url are you going to use? How are you going to pass the token in so it isn’t stored by the LL

MCP is great for when you’re integrating tools locally into IDEs and such. It’s a terrible standard for building more robust applications with multi-user support. Security and authentication are completely lacking. 99% of people wouldn’t be

Absolutely correct. You can also use tools everywhere while clients have to be MCP compatible. MCP is not all it's cracked up to be.
