Wish I could +1 this 100x. Break into small clean chunks that are easy to follow.

Also a Bostonian, but have been in NYC metro for 10 years. I'm back in Boston enough to say this with clarity: Boston is very clean.

Another take: too many posts on HN about languages, algorithms, start-ups, fund-raising, etc, etc. I'm here because I like to read through lots of that stuff! But it has also made admire it all, maybe a little too much. As I'm in

Are there entire feeds that you've deemed too wasteful? I get that you can slash much of what you look at on Twitter and still get what you want. But what about things like Instagram, TikTok, etc. - did you delete those apps altogether

Rather than dive into screen vs. no screen - let me ask: what games are they interacting with? I'm at the very least curious to have a look. I think the screen vs. no screen debate misses another important point: what am I doing while

I’m a parent now and this thread hits home. I’ll respond in full otherwise but wanted to comment here first. I think you might be able to do better but it’s not really a black and white comparison. Maybe better for some things, and worse fo

I happen to love the exercise so I’ll happily have it this way! Especially if (like me) you’ve crossed over the starting hurdle and you are building/maintaining real muscle - it’s awesome!

I wonder if any of that matters? Optimizing for the things you mentioned feels a bit like overkill. As a non-therapist, I don’t know whether one way of executing therapy is better than another. I really think it’s simpler than that: find th

Just curious - do you have Lyft pick you up or drop you off at your house/apt or do you avoid that as well? I think of that action as different from payment information verification.

I live just north of NYC in suburbs and leaf blower bans are never enforced. Not worth the time of the town or the city to bother dealing with the rules they create. It stinks.

I love the idea of couples counseling even if I don't yet feel comfortable suggesting it. But fundamentally, I ask, why not? Everything can be great, and then just talking about it with someone else can be a way to recharge your relati

Ok, so, perhaps a silly question (forget about environmental advantage/disadvantage): is gas a problem if I turn on a very strong exhaust fan right above my stove?

I think this phrasing is bad. It's not about what's first or second or any other order. It's about balance. You should prioritize your relationship regularly (e.g. every other week date night). You should prioritize talking t

Did it really take off? It’s obviously popular but it doesn’t seem like the business is a runaway success by any means. Just curious if someone knows (with facts) that it is actually a hit.
