Exactly, I think this is people saying "I'm too busy." But the reality is that they're "busy" by simply prioritizing other things that may or may not be worth it. Examples I see all the time: excessive phone ti

And that’s where you have to be quite deliberate. Plan out a part of your day to exercise. Don’t disrupt unless it is critical to do so. Very easy to say “but I was so busy” and not do it, but sticking to a consistent schedule is how the ha

The recursive stuff is pretty cool. In general, I like CTEs a way to break queries into pieces to improve readability and understanding (among other improvements). Also, integrating aggregate functions along with row_number() and similar fu

This is all about context. Those aren't bad or uncomfortable questions. Having as much clarity as possible helps ensure plans are on track, need adjusting, etc. right? Some folks stress over questions like this, but I think it's i

Oh, absolutely biased! But not just trucks. Works for all kinds of other things. Sports cars too. Nice things. Athletic skills. Etc. People like to one up each other. So, that's not all truck owners. Just thinking (anecdotally) that lo

Fascinating suggestion. Let me toss a q back to you: when you work that strategy for a deck, do you subsequently send it first and gather feedback, or do you prefer to talk through it with that person? I've always preferred talking thr

This was a refreshing read, and a solid reminder. I'm working through an executive communication pickle as I write this. My (startup) CEO is a slide perfectionist who never likes any deck he sees the first time. And he's critical

Love it, agree, I wonder how many suburban towns are able retrofit their neighborhoods like this. My guess is not many based on ownership and configuration, but it would really cool to see pathways snaking through neighborhoods like that.

That's a fair point. My town (outside of NYC) is very much like that. With that in mind, the 1-mile walk I mentioned in my original response is based on the paths available to me (twists, intersections, etc.) rather than straight lines

Indeed, you typically see fewer sidewalks near houses that are closer to woods/etc. I also wonder what sorts of distances people think of as "far" in this thread. I've lived in both suburbs and in NYC. It's easy to
