And let's not forget - bands. Very versatile. They saved me during early COVID. But if I were - unwilling to gym it - I'd buy a few bands and use them for all sorts of push and pull exercises as well as mobility, stretching. Highl

Try again! (to hit that PR) Some weeks you'll have the right combo, some weeks you won't. But my general approach is to work toward a PR of some sort every 6 weeks or so. I don't always get there, but, I keep trying!

Yeah - financial risks aside. It just seems difficult to do this without major disruptions to family life as I am a part of it. Of course, you can hire as many people as you need (if you have the means) to resolve the logistical problem. Bu

I think this is the right point, but it's tough. People don't like to say "no" or "can't do it in that timeline" and other permutations of these statements. If you can't even challenge or disagree wit

Honest question: do people with young kids do these jobs well, or at all? I'm sure the answer is sometimes, yes. But, as a 41-yr-old father of two kids (6, 2) and a wife in PE, the pace and stress strike me as contradictory to being pr

It's a very interesting point. I am attempting (recently) to cut some chemicals and processed things from my house. Examples: using glass as much as I can, instead of plastic. Trying to use more local fresh ingredients in my cooking. B

I'd love to hear where or if you think there is an obvious balancing point between shelf-stable and not in solid food? I've thought of making my own protein bars, as I work out quite a bit and would prefer understanding exactly wh

Right. I wasn't making a point about environmental impacts, for example. I know some folks see that as the main differentiator (that I understand). My point was just to draw a distinction between what seems more "processed" v

I determine the difference with this simple model: 1. It's processed if the list of ingredients spans a sizable portion of the package or label. 2. It's less (or not) processed if the list of ingredients is quite small. The line b

Well said. The example that popped into my head was this: Impossible Burger is "healthier" than regular beef burger. Health aside, these sorts of conclusions (I'm guilty too) say nothing about how processed or not something i

I agree with your anecdote but on an even shorter scale. Normal running. I’m in a running club that spans casual runners to 5x per year marathoners. Most of the folks running more look, well, aged.
