How often are people touching screens? I have a 2023 BMW and it’s all screen. But, I can usually set it once and not touch it again! Am I crazy?

I’ve got Z-wave as well. Rock solid most of the time. Some WiFi too. Also important: not overdoing it. I don’t have tons of time to tinker with devices, HA, etc.

I don’t see software/tech valuing work/life balance better. It might just be that software/tech is more remote and more flexible. But tech can punish you just like investment banking. I was asked point blank by my tech CEO: “

I am with you. Put aside lost phone, I still have all my older phones. Every time I start with a new phone, I use WhatsApp from scratch without restoring history/etc. I don’t back it up at all. Has not been a problem.

I’ll reply with my second job as I really consider it my first. It came 9 months after I graduated from school. Didn’t have people lined up to hire me! There was a time (2005 when Monster.com helped with finding roles and making connections

I was just there this past summer. I spent one particular drive glued to the window as there seemed to be an endless number of half-built and/or abandoned buildings. Did I misjudge what I was seeing or is that a real concern/sympt

The last part to the NYC apartment hunt: be ready to execute. Sometimes being the first party to engage on the spot is what it takes. Reminds me of the chapter on Optimal Stopping in the book Algorithms To Live By. Last time I looked I had

Yes - for me 911 or my ultimate dream: M3. And the best part: you will still enjoy it even when you are going slow or sitting idle because both cars SOUND amazing. Maybe I’m a purist but as a 41 year old adult I still sprint off my couch to

Do you have issues with GFCI outlets? I use a Z-wave smart plug for this exact use but find it often trips my GFCI circuit. Anything similar? Let me tell you - it is devastating to wake up without the coffee you are expecting!

Curious about your experience finding right CBD dose. I’ve dabbled and don’t have conclusive evidence that it helps. But maybe I’m taking way less than is ideal to notice an effect. Any insights to share?
