It looks like something not on this list gets suggested in mobile Safari, but not autocompleted (so on top of the screen it will show as a clickable link, but you will not see the complete url in the address field and be able to just go to

I would appreciate it, if you could annotate the config choices you made with the reason behind them. Example: sendfile on; # default is off tcp_nopush on; # default is off tcp_nodelay on; Why did you set those to on? What improvement

As I wrote above, I build a bunch of converters. If PNG to PDF has no use for you, then maybe heic to jpg, or tiff to png, or webp to jpg? If you already have a quick and good solution for all of these (or you never need to convert in any

That's true. But in the situation with my accountant that led to me developing this, I already had a bunch of files on my computer. Some were screenshots of emails, some were photos, so this was a handy way to combine them all.

Mostly because it's the common format for documents where I live. Also you can add multiple images with different dimensions and they will all be scaled to fit A4. But I will probably add different dimensions for other countries in the

Wow, today I learned, thank you. I honestly didn't know that. To my defense, I rarely use finder and forklift doesn't display Quick Actions. But had I known, I would probably not have made these converters, so it was probably alr

Most of these go through a canvas element, which is something a browser can "draw on". For conversion from jpg to png for example you don't need any libraries at all because your webbrowser can read and write both of these fo

Yes, I set the quota higher. Should work again.

Thank you, I ran out of quota. I pay for the queries out of my own pocket, so I set the limit low (1000 per day), because I don't want to be bankrupted by some spambot ;)

At university I initially chose math as a minor. I think it was this problem (without the pretty pictures) where I decided that math was not for me.

And then? The cable disappears into a wall together with 100s of other cables (which most likely are not labeled or not correctly, otherwise you wouldn't have lost the machine in the first place)

For me brave mobile was the only usable browser on android because it has a bottom tab bar. I don’t know why chrome itself ditched it, does nobody at Google have a >6 inch phone? Then I discovered edge on android and it is really good (i

I disagree with your second paragraph. Not all of your first 16 years are spent in driving situations (especially not 24h a day) but Tesla’s have driven many years in total and almost all of them can be applied to improve the AI running in

I wonder how those bees deal with varroa mites. Many beekeepers believe that "wild hives do not exist" because untreated colonies usually die within a year or two.

Does this allow to create virtual resolutions wider than 6016 px? I have a Samsung 32:9 monitor and this seems to be a hard limit on a Mac so far. Would be great if I could go higher with this.

A long time ago I wrote goosh ( https://goosh.org ) which does the same thing for google. It's nice to see something similar for DDG. After a first test it looks like it only searches DDGs public API (so definitions, etc) and

The C64 mini runs on an ARM processor, so that doesn't count in this context. Also I just learned that the processor in the C64 had two coprocessors for sound and graphics (?). So maybe that also doesn't count.

Does an Intel 286 without coprocessor count? C64? I remember those, but I wouldn't say I'm extremely old (just regular old).

And it doesn't really work? The student could easily keep a second device which is not monitored nearby and out of sight of the camera. For the webcam based "room-scan" just hold it your other hand behind the laptop.

Yes, but nothing will make predictable passwords safe (at least when you have the hash). Enforcing password guidelines helps a bit.

If I understand this right, the problem is "twitchsalt" has to be known so that you can generate the same hash for future logins. So it's just one iteration of hashing more for a brute force attempt (modern hashing algorithms
