Working and living in Vancouver as a foreigner, I'll share my experience. About two years ago, I decided I wanted to settle in Vancouver and therefore proceeded to find a job here. I contacted a whole bunch of startups, maybe 5% got ba

My phone provider (Fido, Canada) used to call me weekly to try and sell me random crap. Every single time, I would complain that I find being cold-called by a service I already pay for extremely rude. "But Sir, we're trying to off

It is truly fascinating (and of course, terrifying) to watch governments expect, demand and enforce complete transparency and blind trust from the people, while providing absolutely none of either.

A truly great read, in particular when it comes to how the author explains the fallacy of the "nothing to hide" argument. I will definitely be re-using some of these examples in my own conversations. That said, there is a sad iron

I do and I appreciate it, but are you suggesting we don't correct people as long as we can understand them? As a non-native English speaker, I certainly appreciate being corrected. So... thanks :)

Everyone here has got the wrong idea about what Watson is doing here. That would be because the article is very misleading, and without some background in the field, can you blame people for thinking that? Take for instance this par
