Nylas is two things: 1. APIs for developers that replace IMAP/SMTP/Exchange. Use this to build any app that integrates with a user's mailbox, calendar, or address book. 2. A new extensible email app, built on web technologies

Yep, just clone the git repo and set up on Debian (like Ubuntu 12.04) and run setup.sh. Most developers run it in a VM. We don't have "releases" because we are constantly releasing to production. Check out the `production` br

If you're a desktop email aficionado, I'd love to hear your feedback on N1. It's kind of similar to Mailbox desktop, but works cross-platform and is open source. https://nylas.com/n1 (Also feel free to write

N1 actually works offline. Obviously it won't fetch new mail, but you can read, archive, compose, and search for local messages. When you reconnect, those tasks will persist to the backend and Gmail/iCloud/Exchange. Search is

Hi-- I work at Nylas. Happy to jump in here :) The sync engine handles all the compatibility or dozens of IMAP and Exchange servers, and uses a variety of heuristics for real-time notifications. It also does the heavy-lifting for the huge a
