very odd to not mention the downsides of fracking. a quarter of the article is about it, and it seems like the crux of the argument of the new dependency on america comes from resources attained through fracking. very biased reporting.

On a sidenote: I think most people should be much more questionable about groklaw. I am big open source and FSF advocate, but I'm not above thinking that groklaw is controlled/funded by a much larger power. I hope it's just a conspiracy the

I fucking hate goldman sachs. Note because of politics. Not because of any financial action they've done. Because they hired that despicable fuck Ulrich Drepper. Seriously, the amount of nice, young people who were forever turned away from

Well it only matters if it's going to get loaded a bazillion times. I mean, if you're focusing on something that's really good at a small domain, than I don't think you have anything to worry about. People keep optimizing crazily based on t

Can you point me to where it works with an ARM Windows 8 device? I don't doubt it, I just don't see it anywhere in the documentation.

Sorry, you're right, every Android or device with Linux preinstalled. iOS does not have an ENCRYPTED boot loader. Right now cracking one is tough. But you CAN install other things on it. This goes for all devices so far in all of history. I

This is unforgivable: http://arstechnica.com/information-technology/2012/01/window... Basically, all ARM Windows machines will have an encrypted boot loader. The concessions you might have read about are for secure boot on other systems.

First off: thank you for taking the time to respond. Your answer was incredibly insightful. Usually I'm pretty good at googling stuff, but when it comes to this I feel like too dumb to know what I don't know. If you know a link or two that

This is called NACL. And as great as it is, what we really need are on-the-fly compilers/interpreters. The web needs to be open. As much as this would appease those who want privacy/drm for their code, we all know what road this leads to. E

Fun facts about the NSA: 1). There were limits imposed on teaching encryption techniques by the NSA. These limits were taken away in the early 90's. I have read this in military technology books at my school, but sadly I can't find any onli
