Unless you specifically tweak the UI to enable really small tabs, which is among the first things I do on a fresh install. Favicon + a small number of pixels for padding, way way less than Google allows me to get away with! Slap on a bunch

Copy+paste has been possible at least since Win2k. But yes, in a very user-unfriendly manner.

It looked very intriguing, and I installed it, but the reviews for the Firefox version are really terrible. Just a heads up in case someone should also install the addon, but not catch the bad reviews.

That's the tactic employed, yes, but that doesn't mean that's why it survived. I'm certain a dedicated goat burner would gladly lob a Molotov cocktail and leg it away from the scene. We'll have to wait and see what

There's definitely precedent for that behavior from Microsoft's side, obvious or not (a certain anti-trust case springs to mind). They have nothing to gain by being obvious about it, and everything to gain by being a whole lot mor

People's mouse grip varies immensely. But the one thing that should be easily controlled, in any reasonable case, is the surface. A mouse mat will often reduce friction greatly, and you can augment your mouse with custom teflon "f

I think the term is small caps. :) In either case, I went for it when I was 15-16, so it's more than half a lifetime ago. The underlying reason was simply that my handwriting was absolutely terrible, and if notes were left for too lo

One of the best things I did personally was to overhaul my shitty handwriting into something I'm actually happy with, and isn't just "how things panned out". I'm saying this because doing such a thing, in your case,

ICQ went down the same path most clients seem to go, ie. it got very bloated. At first it was very bare-bones, with some really pleasant file transfer capabilities. Skype really is history repeating itself. The client is becoming less usabl

Since we're swapping stories of weird bans... I got banned for saying Battlefield != Call of Duty. I have no stake in the matter; I don't play either game. But apparently this was enough to warrant a permanent ban!
