You are projecting again. I didn't say that some reason must be it, because we don't know the reason. It is you who is, for some unknown reason, so sure about your guess.

Eventually you will need a text editor with your emacs :)

Deep down you know the answer already :) There is no magic way. It boils down to less strict inspection. I try to maintain an overall direction and try to care less about the individual line of code.

All you are doing is reinforcing my suspicion that your personal trust issues are clouding your world view. Not everyone thinks like you. It may be a shocking revelation.

Thanks. My mom also tells me that I'm very brave! But to get back on track: Someone pointing out some potential flaws in my thinking does not always mean that they are actually there.

I don't think that jumping to conclusions would somehow un-cripple my thinking. Is it not the other way around. To me, this looks like the typical case of ones world view leaking. So let me leak mine too: If i were to apply Occam'

What does it even mean to be all-in on a browser? You can switch any time, multiple times per day even.

They wouldn't be so eager to remove access to their other models if 5 were more costly to run.

Are you looking up what the abbreviation stands for, or what an MCP is? The first case doesn't matter at all if you already know what an MCP actually is. At least for the task of understanding the article.

People didn't even want to put on 3d glasses for their TV. No way in hell are they strapping a computer to their faces.

It doesn't matter if they make any profit off those who hit the limits. It's about how many of the users hit those limits.

It doesn't feel like that the gap is closing at all. The local models can get 10x as good next year, it won't matter to me if the frontier models are still better. And just because we can run those models (heavily quantized, and t

It means that the infamous military industrial complex does not exist in its fabled money printing form. Turns out, the US government is very demanding and stingy with its money for what it ultimately gets.

It's always a question of "compared to what?" Local models are no where near capable compared to frontier big models. While a small model might be fine for your use case, it can not replace Sonnet-4 for me.

Sounds like a DNS provider problem. Why would Nginx feel the need to compromise because of some 3rd party implementation detail?

All your examples have replaced some other service in the past. Except GitHub, maybe. Granted, the replaced services were nowhere near the popularity levels of the current ones, and have made horrible decision.

Using AI to distill all of that sprawling and contradicting documentation is a great use case. Grounding it in the reality of the current implementation for the extra cherry on top.

It's probably ego and delusion. Every crud generator company thinks it's special and has some secret sauce it needs to guard. I'm sure some do, but overall it's a case of monkey see (google), monkey do (like google).
