Yes, most implementations of x86 translate opcodes into equivalent RISC-like micro-ops. But this was necessary to achieve any kind of real performance with x86. It's a terribly-designed architecture where all of the instructions are scatter

The "bad thing" is that this is being done over the objections of the people, and working around the normal democratic process. Basically, the State's leaders are calling all of the shots, when their constituents are saying "no."

Given how well the Humble indie Bundles have done in the past (and how the current one is doing), I think their concerns over pricing are a bit overblown.

The law is not clear. Not on this matter, anyway. There's a lot of legal precedent in favor of Hotz, but not enough to conclusively say that what he did is, strictly speaking, legal or illegal. The fact of the matter is that because they

Yes you can. Liquid-Fluoride Thorium Reactors can be started and stopped without incident, in a few hours. I believe their output can also be adjusted in operation. They're safe and efficient enough to build one into a 40-foot trailer that

What, exactly, is it that the author doesn't understand? It seems pretty clear to me that he's pointing out the ridiculous abuse of trademark law for something that should only be covered by Copyright.

That would only be possible if the framework of Gallium3D can be ported to use the Windows DDK. Gallium is pretty well tied to X11 and a few kernel features present on BSD and Linux kernels.
