Apple as a technology company does invest directly in renewable energy, and also medical research. Separately, Apple's money isn't a stack of bills. It is a set of investments managed by Braeburn Capital, which is one of the lar

Yeah because apple has never created new business opportunities for anyone else - all they do is cause people to lose their livelyhoods. /s

False. iTunes is not a different platform. Companies are not forced to keep their services the same forever.

> Why do you consider it reasonable for Apple to use artists' IP, free, in order to acquire users for Apple's paid services? I don't and that's a false statement about what's happening. When the free trial ends,

Headline is false. Apple will remove bands from iTunes if they don't offer a free trial. As for this being a 'threat'. It's clearly not - it's a mutual disagreement. The statement could just as easily be 'so

The free trial is limited to three months, so it's simply false to equate it with 'free' or 'freemium'. Apple is asking labels to offer users access to their music for free during the trial period. I.e. Apple isn

A couple of hundred million dollars is a trivial write off for google. It should be a 5% of revenue.

It sounds like you just have a lot of judgement about what is and is not valuable work in the world, and would rather hide behind condescension than be honest about that.

This comment gets made every new release and is just as false as ever. Apple always takes it's time to do things because it does them in a way that people can actually use, rather than rushing to be 'first'. Android does rush

If sleep is actually unnecessary, how do you account for it having evolved in almost all species? It seems highly implausible, given that a predator that didn't need sleep would seem to have a great advantage over prey that do.

Nope. Stop trying to impute racism. The facts are that Android video players are hugely popular in Asia, but these aren't iPad competitors.

ApplePay does a huge amount to mitigate the credit card fraud problem for it's users . The fact that it can be used to process cards stolen others is irrelevant.

That is describing using Apple Pay as a way to tender already stolen credit cards and has nothing to do with the security of Apple Pay itself.

It has nothing to do with 'Asia' or 'Europe'. It has to do with saying a 7" android based video player is a competitor to the iPad.

That's misleading because it includes a large number of android based video players in Asia, which are not competitors to the iPad as general purpose tablets.
