No way to convince a jury of this, for real. Not worth the risk of trying to explain the distinction versus being prosecuted.

It's not illegal, it's against their TOS, bug difference. In any case, if there's money to be made, you'll find even more reputable entities will operate at the margins of ethics and legality. In any case, probably more

It's important to know where one's information is coming from, even if that information is "technically" accurate. Mere facts can be misleading through context, and it's important to know where biases are.

Not sure what to do about that, but you're absolutely right. I see this a lot on NextDoor, "suspicious people" posts when really it's just some person of color who lives in the neighborhood or is walking their dog or som

You seem to think that one cannot advertise for products from which one doesn't profit? That's misguided.

Same here, with AWS specifically. I'm used to AWS so generally stay in that ecosystem. Designed a web app and backed part of it by lambda and api gateway. Via a surge in traffic, my monthly bill went from about $6/mo to $150 for a

The creator will stop working on it if there are no sign ups. Basically, if you move to it now you're taking a big risk that the whole thing will just be shuttered because it's generally more likely than not that no one will sign

This is awful, no offense. You're a recruiter, do you mind if I ask if you were previously a professional software engineer? GitHub is often, very often, for small personal projects where you don't spend a lot of time going throug

Maybe I'm cynical, but I have a hard time believing that the brand new user JamesIH created three hours ago whose only submission or comment is posting a link to your indiehackers page, and then you, a relatively savvy SEO person from

I was wondering this too. Seems like services publish to an event stream which other services then read from.

I had a .io for a project. Ended up getting internet from some corporate/government entities. Went in to demo, and *.io was blocked on their enterprise network! Will still with .com or .net as well.

Lots of submissions from this same person from the same domain. Lots of upvote points on a marketing topic meant to drive clicks. I'm guessing the OP is a spammer and this submission is being gamed.

Also interested in this, from the other side. I have to deal with enterprisey salespeople from the buying side, and often have to deal with warring factions in my own org to buy what we (the actual Dev shop) need.

Looks like we're running Streisand as a VPN in AWS, and pihole at home on a Raspberry Pi. Why not just run PiHole on the AWS instance alongside streisand and save on the added complexity?

Oh geez I did this one time on my first car when I was 16 or so. Transposed the battery connects. It sparked and was just done for a second, but fried the whole ECU, battery, alternator, and more. Very costly lesson I will never repeat.
