> If provided back to the grid, the homeowner should get paid the spot price like every other generator, not full residential rates. I mean "should" depends on the goal of the pricing policy right? If the goal is a "fair c

I see the comments here are overwhelmingly positive, so I will keep an open mind. That said, someone please correct me if I'm wrong, but this runs binary code loaded over the internet in your browser? As a free-software advocate, this

I'm not involved with the project...just an admirer. I do know that it has a headless option in the command line invocation.

Re the building, if you're on mac with homebrew, it should be as easy as: brew install --HEAD servo/servo/servo and servo -w http://wikipedia.org Keep in mind though, servo has a long way to go.

When she says "In the 2020s, we’ll launch our next robotic missions to Jupiter; they’ll arrive and do science in the 2030s, and will hopefully persist for a decade or so.", she's referring to the upcoming Europa mission.

Except they'll make it cost prohibitive to stream anything but those that pay the fee to T-Moble by artificially increasing the price for data.

No, it's about me being able to get the content of my choice at the same rate as the big boys. If I want to watch a programming live stream (I'm not much for modern family.), I should be able to do it at the same cost as any other

> However, to be completely pedantic: would this actually be a planet? This is one of the paper's author's answer to that question. http://www.findplanetnine.com/2016/01/is-planet-nine-planet....

Skepticism is warranted, but keep in mind that Mike "pluto killer" Brown, one of the authors, has an impressive track record. He discovered Eris and Sedna.

Before people suggest bitcoin--and I love bitcoin--it probably wouldn't solve this guy's fraud problem. Yes, it would stop the fraud, but there are simply too few people willing to pay in bitcoin.

My B&N had this "Branded Solutions Food Service" coffee. It was not a good experience. They didn't have the usual Starbucks coffees and it wasn't even hot.

I've modified configuration files on a FreeBSD filesystem image with a hex editor to cause it to obtain a dhcp lease and allow password ssh login for the default account. (Linux cannot read/write to the default FreeBSD filesystem.

I've done it myself on a FreeBSD RPi image. I don't see why it wouldn't work on linux.

If you don't have a computer that can read and write the filesystem on the image, it gets a little more complicated. In that case, you might be able to make these changes using a hex editor directly on the Raspbian images.

This was just 2048 for iOS though I don't know that this was the cause. It might have just been the iphone radio causing interference on the speaker.

It sounds crazy, but I noticed my phone was emitting a quiet, high-pitched buzzing sound when I had 2048 open the other day. I wonder if this is what I was noticing.

What I find interesting is that Uber doesn't seem to be having an effect on private car use. From the article, in the busiest part of New York, "Uber gained 3.10 million pickups, while taxis lost 3.09 million." I read this to

Very slick identity verification process. Instead of requiring a scan of your driver's license or other identifying document, they ask you for questions about your history. I've seen a similar process used at etrade.

I love Rust, but it's important to understand what it promises and what it doesn't. While Rust is considered a "safe" language, I think the term is a little misleading. I prefer "memory-safe." There are plenty

For what it's worth, I've had this same issue on NYT site. I also assumed it was an ad causing the problem because refreshing the page to allow a different ad to load fixed it. (I don't block ads on NYT.)
