What saddens me the most is that there are a lot of "small" issues that are found now (and by small I don't mean that they are not critical or important, just that they are a small feature/% of the whole), and we forget

Exactly what just happened to me: I was planning to stay on 10.12 for some more time, but now I need to do some testing on the new iPad 6, which is provided with iOS 11.3 in the box, which is only supported by the new xcode 9.3, which only

Not sure about least secure, but clearly least production ready: High Sierra is like a public beta of the version to come.

Deeply agree: React will be dead (maybe not internally at fb, but to the rest of the world) long before facebook goes dead. Whether you consider it a trend or a point-in-time technology, it will be surpassed by something quickly enough.

Power can be critical in many ways: loose it at a meat processing plant and all production is lost too. Reminds me of another situation where power loss was... a huge problem: http://abcnews.go.com/US/texas-chemical-pla

Drowning can have bad reasons: you are not ready, your product is under-priced, your product is trendy based on an point-in-time event/PR/whatever, ... And it can have bad consequences: your customers might get unhappy because of

While the images over HTTP seems really trivial to fix and can be considered as a "big mistake" from the devs, the other point in this article about the number of bytes is trickier: wondering if any other HTTPS traffic could be &q

As long as a password is requested, it has to be checked! Also this wasn't possible on Sierra.

Most of the recently discussed High Sierra bugs were not there on Sierra, while the features were there, like this one. So it's not that much pen tensting, but Apple making changes and not validating them correctly. Maybe they have the

If you are able to do that, then I insist: you probably have failed at best practices. Most likely on this part: a good password hashing (ie. security hashing) should be fast so that you can log-in but slow enough to prevent brute force (ie

If you, as a developer, are technically able to check that the password is used by another user, you have failed pretty big at best practices.

Reminds me of HHVM: a specific solution developed by a specific team for their specific problem. Might help Redis on the long run though: some ideas might be brought back to Redis, or at least it will bring some challenge to the devs. Meanw

Why make all that noise with a detailed blog post then? If it's a custom-fit internal tool, then good for you, the rest of the world doesn't care. Each company has internal tools and stuff.
