I’m actually pretty surprised how bad the intercom ecosystem is these days. Why aren’t there more ‘semi dumb’ Ethernet or wifi products that just let you announce that dinner is ready? It doesn’t need to be a fully ruggedised commercial sys

Timing isn’t an accident. Within weeks of the M1 stealing headlines, the premature W11 released to great fanfare. This mea culpa is very refreshing though, along with the admission that they went overboard with CoPilot.

To be fair it’s a notoriously difficult thing to plan for. It’s less about incompetence, and more about having a strong understanding of user requirements, and a streamlined way to allocate costs to each business area based on their needs.

I was initially interested but after skimming through I questioned if this pedantic detective tale needed to be told… Just send an email to the board of trustees / body corporate and move on.

I disagree. Are people really that attached to their conversations though? Anecdotally, the vast majority of my own conversations and coding interactions are transient in nature, to the point where I prefer to use the ‘temporary’ mode in wh

Unlike macOS, your cat does not, and will not, meet the industry-accepted standard that describes unix as we know it today. https://www.opengroup.org/openbrand/register/xym0.htm

The compliance trope that a point-in-time-assessment can't be used to support a claim is kind of a lazy take. The certification explicitly states macOS v26.0 Tahoe. While it's true that it wasn't always truly UNIX compliant,

The board itself looks pretty spartan, at least compared to any other x86 ITX board I’ve seen in the last ten years. The only thing it doesn’t seem to have is audio jacks. Is that because the platform itself is very lite, or is just typical

I find dark mode incredibly straining in most daytime and office situations, particularly with glossy screens. Do use it exclusively in dark environments though. The ‘anti light-mode’ sentiment has been around for more than a decade, but t
