I'm having a hard time understanding your justification for your sympathy going to Heroku. RG is paying for PaaS from Heroku based on documentation, sales pitches, etc. They're also paying good money for the tools necessary to make busines

I disagree with your assertion that the workplace was not conducive to work. It was not conducive to work in my particular circumstance with the particular work I was being asked to accomplish . Do I believe that Yahoo is like this? Abso

Given that example, have you considered that telecommuting was not the only way you could have reached a comfortable level of productivity? Absolutely, but when your superiors had an "open door" policy, wearing headphones simply meant, pl

One question that I can't seem to find the answer to is, is Yahoo! willing to pay relocation expenses to those telecommuters that have been asked to come into an office? Or is it basically, "we don't care if you live in Des Moines. We wan

Thank you. Finally a voice of reason. I do agree that people work differently. A large part of my job is paying attention to detail, which becomes harder and harder to do when the every day detail gets mired in coworkers stopping by my of

Not to jump on the bandwagon, but I dismissed this article a few paragraphs in. Horribly written, terrible pictures and didn't really present the information I was after. "One way to trick freelancers with little or no time, is to write an

Thanks for the clarification on Dropbox. So it appears that the "key" (pun intended) is who has the key. Dropbox offering "encrypted" storage while holding the key, isn't really encrypted storage now is it. :)

There aren't a bunch. Sugarsync and Dropbox only offer encrypted transport of your files. To actually encrypt the files/folders themselves requires a 3rd party piece. Mega offers everything wrapped in encryption, so presumably, his comp

Have you actually used SpiderOak? While I have tried and tried, I find their interface (OSX and Win) to be utterly and irretrievably confusing.

As someone with little to no experience with coding boot camps , can I get some feedback on someone in his mid-40s attending one of these? I have a lot of coding background, mostly in C#, asp.net and MSSQL experience.

It's still very counterintuitive to the universal search functionality that exists on the start menu. Which, I might add, is fucking fantastic! It doesn't make sense to my feeble mind to bring up a charm for search while in the App Store.
