Doesn't any civilization-ending apocalypse, if human-precipitated, necessarily imply that any of the political and moral dimensions of other comments are a waste of time? What good is handing down our political thinking to a new societ

Agree with point about title being too strong for general news, esp. given geographic constraints. As a point of reference, Uber do not pick up at LAX and have specific in-app notification prompts to tell you this if you open the app there.

I never thought of zipcar as a phone booth you can rent by the hour, but that's actually a pretty good solve if you have one nearby. You can reserve them in advance.

There's some good advice here, but so far no one has said the most important thing, which is to clarify for yourselves what your other best option is. (In MBA jargon, your "BATNA" -- Best Alternative to a Negotiated Agreement

Assuming you are technical, even a failure is probably a net positive to your career prospects. This is particularly true if you are very early in your career, or are later in your career and have been involved with some well-known or succ

Zinger appreciated, but it's a disclosed surcharge -- the real problem would be if it were deceptive. As any New Yorker will tell you, pre-Uber cab regulations were not exactly followed to the letter. For example, they state among oth

I can't helping thinking "right problem, wrong solution". I would take the bet that there's more ongoing demand for voice calls than many in the tech community realize -- but I don't think this demand is primarily

Independently of being a bad idea from the entrepreneur's point of view, it is a very negative signal to a potential investor if you can raise your own early-stage round (per loumf's comment). Fundraising is harder than it looks o

How about a little OP love for a great question. All the responses saying liability is a large part of insurance cost are correct, but comprehensive is a non-zero part and your cap in terms of reimbursement does in fact go down over time.
