It really doesn’t make any sense for the central software repository of a new product to be controlled by an independent third party. I would have a lot of concerns about that if i were a user of these new pebbles

What is this data that Core wants exactly? Are old pebble apps compatible with the new devices? Edit: under what license did rebble scrape the app code? Couldn’t Core Devices scrape it from rebble under the same logic?

Import from where? Neighboring countries with similar weather? I think they will be asking you to import to them when you need it most.

Extrapolating from multiple good data points and making up a number based on zero examples are absolutely not the same thing.

Correct. Obviously no honest person can claim to have an objective way to quantify “intelligent creatures' tendency toward self-annihilation”

Im not sure Japan would have surrendered. The real question is: why was total surrender the only acceptable outcome to the FDR admin? To the point that mass killing civilians was preferred over a negotiated peace.

No buildings are being demolished. The email is just a reminder of existing early retirement programs. I oppose cutting deep space missions but this article does a very poor job of explaining how those are being cut if they in fact are.

Having read the article it seems like the new budget cuts costs by having people work remotely instead of having an expensive office in Manhattan. I understand why employees would complain about that but the article is blowing this way out

My understanding with Le Pen is that she used funds that were earmarked for he EU parliament staff to pay the salary of someone on her regular staff. I find it hard to believe that similar errors weren’t made by people the French establishm

So far everything he said in that video has happened and he did not say that intel would never release another dGPU just that it would be a token release which is absolutely exactly what has happened

Reprocessing is an extra cost that isn’t really needed. Globally we have over a hundred years worth of uranium reserves without reprocessing spent fuel.

I dont think there is a conspiracy by oil and gas companies to sabotage solar and wind. I think solar and wind are just not as easy and cheap to build a reliable grid because of transmission and storage costs which advocates always underest

Wouldn’t it just make more sense to use nuclear and keep the grid reliable so individual homeowners don’t need to worry about huge blackouts ruining their quality of life?
