Honestly, just saying the maths doesn’t always work is much more approachable than dark/invisible matter.

I like Tim, his arguments come across as an honest attempt to answer real questions. I feel as if the current crop of physicists look down on things that appear too simplistic. Their math give an answer with artefacts they can’t match to re

Realising current day events rhyme very closely with historical events is pretty eye opening. It’s a tragedy of the commons we are all largely oblivious as a species.

Seasoned tech user and changing the link location stumps you? BOOKMARK IT. Things change. Sorry fellow Aussie here and every Tom, Dick & Harry has had their say on this website during the likely 1000’s of committee meetings here. I’d ch

It is nice to feel that your taxes in your country are being spent wisely. I know it’s subjective so different for everyone but here in Australia I feel like it’s been a long time since we had actual leadership and we’ve had lousy middle ma

I actually give Trump more credit for understanding scrapping filibuster is the wrong move. I also think he’s smart enough to realise people think he’s dumb. So he says scrap filibuster as a way to sow the seeds that there’s tension where t

No one’s panicking but you pal. I made an observation that the present day is rhyming with history. You’re now raising Godwin’s law. Good job.

I understand Trump nominated and congress/senate approved the last couple of Supreme Court members? I’d classify things like FDA/FAA as legislative parts of the governments but maybe that’s wrong. Also I don’t see other government

Assassination & attempted assassinations have all happened within 12ish months. You’ve got an executive branch stacking all open positions in judicial and legislative branches with their political appointees. And the executive is interp

Reminds me of the dysfunction the Roman Republic towards the end of it’s time. It’s not unique to the US however, I think maybe we are all approaching the end of the line for current political/civil systems without further work that no

Right tool for the right job. I’ve written some pretty complicated vanilla JS and it works fine. I’m not dealing with other people crappy code however so YMMV.

For what it’s worth - vanilla JS is pretty darn good and if you’re only dipping in for some small functionality I highly doubt a framework brings much benefit.

I commented on the prior article posted that The Onion writers don’t even need to conjure a story anymore, just report the facts.

I am just a lay person so a lot of the maths is over my head for all of this, but I do try to follow the best I can. Do you ever ponder that the maths that you try to distill into the “laws of physics” is just too low of a fidelity for such
