I’m not saying it’s the fault of the surveillance system if police don’t use it. But what is the actual benefit to you/society as a whole we film our neighbours never completely trusting them, if the people paid to protect others aren’

What does a surveillance system actually give you? Have you dealt with Police after break in & robberies? I was a building manager for 6 years and Police took the footage over 10 times during my tenure, nothing was ever recovered by the

You’re not approaching it from startup accounting. It’s only equity(Sam’s) that matter. Profit is a trifling matter.

Crypto bro’s needed something to do with their GPU’s after the crypto craze died. Wonder what’s next when the AI craze dies.

Colour me a curmudgeon too but a screen doesn’t need to be in front of a student all hours of the day to learn.

I’ve made this point before, because plenty of people are too narrow minded in how they view the internet. We don’t dislike roads(real internet/pipes & routers) because asshole drivers(social media) are out there.

There’s probably too much nuance in your answer for most, but thank you for taking the time to write it down. It’s always interesting to read some thoughtful opinions, especially as an outsider(Australian) looking in.

As soon as non-text gets integrated in any meaningful way, it all goes down hill. Text is fine. Text with some images that aren’t always integrated so well like forums are fine. Full on image/video media is just reptile brain fodder.

I really dislike most people’s use of internet to mean whatever sites/apps the author doesn’t truck with. No one says they dislike roads because there are asshole drivers.
