It definitely supports named columns and I am pretty sure 'tables' as well.

Three out of those 4 things aren't functions. I do agree newer functions are missing (such as XLOOKUP) but for most people calc/excel is a high powered calculator and they use it as such. So Calc is perfect replacement. It's

Good news, Pivot tables were added in v6.2. And there's an extension that provides similar support for PowerQuery. Tables do exist in LO calc.

That is very very cool. I work at a hospital campus (Melbourne), all hdds require destruction. So I wonder if your customers should be businesses not individuals.

I use excel heavily, librecalc is as good or better than excel. It has near 1:1 function compatibility. The exception are macros but MS seem to be slowly phasing them out.

In general, if you'd like to read research publications on ncbi pubmed use sci-hub. While mostly for medical literature it should have this and similar publication.

This is hilariously late. One of the B strains (yamagata) is essentially extinct. There's only B Victoria circulating. For Influenza A, this would be amazing. Currently the vaccine composition is 3 (H1,H3, Bvic) or 4 valent. This could

This is very cool. Looking at the example, this seems highly applicable to rote learning. I might mess with this on the weekend. I think the sciences would appreciate this tool.

For those of us in the trenches(microbiology), these overarching theories have little impact on our work. The large number of 'contradictions' discussed in the article are evident in bacteria, viruses. At the same time, it does ha

Never use should. It's confusing and inherently negative. It's also not very clear. Compare should with could in your examples. Could is very clear, a direct question to the read.

When highly pathogenic avian influenza outbreaks happen, the death rate is extremely high. What's not quoted is the infection rate. Usually HPAI is extremely deadly. So for wild geese that is a very high death count. Wild birds do not

You're mistaken. These are wild viruses circulating among wild avian populations. When wild birds come into contact with domesticated animals, avian influenza can infect them causing disease and death in the farm animals. But farmed an

No. If you read the article, there's a very low chance of an outbreak or pandemic happening with H3N8. We are more likely to see H5Nx viruses become the next pandemic. My bet is on a new H1Nx reassortment in the very near future.

This is called observational bias. Imo the truth is much scarier: advertises know us better than we known ourselves. There's also the idea that we are so alike, advertises can generalize to great success.

A newer tool 'brename' is similar but uses standard inputs and allows for full regex. Like rename it has dry mode for safe renaming.
