Does it really have a lot of military applications ? I presume weight is heavily optimized to get 300kmph. So it won’t go that fast if it carries explosives. Could be used for high value target killing. Like literally a bullet you can contr

My point is not that I stop liking to paint. My point is that I am an aspiring artist, who is waiting tables and I invest all my spare cash and time to get better at my craft and hopefully allow my craft to support me financially. Any hope

Photographers totally became obsolete. When cameras were harder to use, you had national geographic taking you all over the world to photograph different locations because only you and a handful of people knew how to take a picture properly

What is the intended use for this ? Notes app seem like an odd place to ask Google like questions. Is it supposed to help me with writing long for text? Am I supposed to use it as a spell/grammar checker ? This is not directly a quest

I don’t even think the moat is the issue here. We are giving the enjoyable parts of life to a computer. And we are left with the drudgery. I’m sure some people would be more ok to work a shitty job with the hope that they might make it as

Would you also have that belief about how much weight a human can lift ? Just because a human can lift 500lb, we will never build a machine that can lift more than that ? Why is it so crazy to think that we, the tool building animals that w

I don’t see why human level is needed. You can have 10 different ai systems, each one sub human intelligence and it would still disrupt the world in a huge way. If you have a system that all it can do is take project requirements write java

The funny thing about humans is that sentiment very much affects where things are headed. People feel good about the future, they will buy that new TV or start that new business. And those actions will have very real consequences.

Would this really be considered greed ? I think the survey mostly says that people think they will be able to afford food and shelter. I don’t think this is greed in the same sense. Also the jump is big, but the actual value is pretty low c

I think there’s different ways: - take random samples from the area and statistically come up with that value - put a radar/sonar/ xray etc in a hole and get an outline of how big the deposit is. I did not work in this field expli

The counter point to that, is that in order to get AGI you will need long term memory. In which case we will design a long term memory at first to gather the benefits that came come AGI.

I don’t think the reading method is a substitute for checksums and so on. You would still read the exact same data you write, even if part of the process is not deterministic.
